Milling machine operator

Milling machine operators ensure that components for machines and equipment fit precisely (e.g., engine pistons). They are responsible for milling or turning workpieces. They plan machining processes and adjust machining systems. Industrial mechanics work for the metalworking industry.

Prerequisites:

  • Candidates should possess a secondary education certificate and enjoy working with complex technology, have good spatial perception and an aptitude for precise work

Duration of training:

  • 3.5 years, examination part 1 prior to completion of 2nd year

Duration of training:

  • Industrial foreman, trainer, mechanical engineer, precision engineer, following attendance at a technical secondary school and graduating from university with a degree in mechanical engineering
