Tool mechanics produce tools, instruments and moulds. They work for the manufacturing industry using computer-aided machine tools. They are responsible for planning workflows, producing components, checking and maintenance as well as reviewing work results.
Prerequisites:
- Candidates should possess a secondary education certificate and enjoy working with complex technology, have good spatial perception and an aptitude for precise work

- Fixture technique
- Instruments technique
Duration of training:
- 3.5 years, examination part 1 prior to completion of 2nd year
Career perspectives:
- Industrial foreman, trainer, mechanical engineer, precision engineer, following attendance at a technical secondary school and graduating from university with a degree in mechanical engineering
