Packaging mechanic

Packaging mechanics ensure goods arrive at customers’ premises in a well-packaged condition. They know the various types of packaging (paper, cardboard, plastic). They operate and maintain special machines for the production of packaging materials and ensure their smooth operation. They form various packaging materials, including corrugated cardboard, cardboard packaging, etc. At the request of customers, they also work out suitable proprietary packaging.

Prerequisites:

  • Candidates should possess a secondary education certificate, have an interest in technology, be skilful and responsive and enjoy doing reliable work in a team

Duration of training:

  • 3 years, intermediate exams prior to completion of 2nd year

Career perspectives:

  • Trainer, foreman, engineer for paper processing, following attendance at a technical secondary school and graduating from university with a degree in paper technology engineering
