Process mechanic

Process mechanics who specialize in plastic and rubber produce a range of products using special machines (e.g., foils, housings). They know the various materials, rubber types and auxiliary materials, work with metallic materials using a range of methods, are knowledgeable about pneumatics and hydraulics, are responsible for production scheduling, steering and monitoring. Process mechanics work in the plastic and rubber processing industries.

Prerequisites:

  • Candidates should possess a secondary education certificate, have an interest in technology, mathematics, physics and chemistry and enjoy undertaking responsible, thorough work in a team

Duration of training:

  • 3 years, intermediate exams prior to completion of 2nd year
