Machine and plant operator

Machine and plant operators work in industrial production companies in various industries, mostly the metal, plastic, food, textiles and print industries or pulp & paper industries. They are responsible for adjusting, retrofitting and operating technical equipment. They ensure the inspection and maintenance of plants. In addition, they monitor material flows and take care of quality assurance activities. They work in production and assembly workshops.

Prerequisites:

  • Candidates should possess a secondary education certificate, have an interest in technology, be skilful and enjoy doing reliable work in a team

Duration of training:

  • 2 years

Career perspectives:

  • Qualified continuing education, foreman, engineer for supply engineering/machine technology, following attendance at a technical secondary school and graduating from university with a degree in engineering
