Construction mechanics produce and install steel structures according to constructional drawings (car body parts, aggregates, covers, sheet metal ducts, etc.) They are proficient with metal working techniques (e.g., bending, sheet metal cutting) and joining techniques (welding, soldering).
Prerequisites:
- Candidates should possess a secondary education certificate, have good spatial perception, enjoy physical work and be skilful

Duration of training:
- 3.5 years, examination part 1 prior to completion of 2nd year

- Trainer, foreman, engineer for sheet metal processing or machine technology, weld engineer, engineer for plant management, following attendance at a technical secondary school and graduating from university with a degree in mechanical engineering
