Electronics engineers for industrial engineering plan, install and commission electrical equipment and ensure trouble free operation. They work in industrial firms.
Prerequisites:
- Candidates should ideally possess an advanced technical certificate and have good knowledge of mathematics and physics, as well as good spatial perception. They need to be particularly reliable and responsible.
Training is versatile and is split into the following operational areas:
- Power distribution plants/networks
- Building installations/networks
- Factory equipment
- Production/processing equipment
- Substations, control systems
- Electro-technical equipment
Duration of training:
- 3.5 years, examination part 1 prior to completion of 2nd year
Career perspectives:
- Foreman, trainer, electrical engineer, following attendance at a technical secondary school and graduating from university with a degree in mechanical/electrical engineering
